Stéphane Dandeneau McGill University PERSONAL INFORMATION Born: St-Boniface, Manitoba, Canada EDUCATION B.A. Honours, Psychology, First Class Distinction,
1999, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Mb. CURRENT RESEARCH My primary research interest at the present is self-esteem, and how we can train individuals with low self-esteem to act in a more high self-esteem manner. My present research proposes developing a training program for people with low self-esteem to learn the “high self-esteem skill” of inhibition of rejection in one’s social environment. The purpose of my research is to develop a game-like task that could be widely distributed to people to help laypeople with low self-esteem increase their state self-esteem.
